Wilf's Sims Stuff: Other NPCs

These are objects that have different NPCs to the standard Maxis ones. I haven't done any remodelling, and only minor recolouring (if any), and I've used Maxis meshes for any associated NPCs, unless otherwise credited. Feel free to use them in any way you want, but please have the courtesy to credit me in your readme file if you modify and redistribute them. You'll find the most recent stuff at the top of the list.

Home Chef Version 1.1

For those who prefer human servants to mechanical ones, meet Jean-Paul the chef. Finding life as a professional in the Grey Gables kitchens too tough, he's decided to seek employment as a domestic cook, where all he has to do is cook the odd meal and keep the kitchen clean.

Cyborg Sally Version 2.1

Cyborg Sally has been given a BIOS upgrade to make her more useful on home lots. Now, not only does she clean, repair and garden, but she also cooks meals for your sims... enjoy a lie-in in the morning while Sally cooks your breakfast!

Cyborg Sally

Cyborg Sally is a new, improved version of the household robot, specially designed for use on Vacation lots (she will work on home lots, but tends to get a bit bored and restless, as there's not so much work to do). Not only more hard working and cheaper, but she's also permanently "on" so she doesn't need a docking station. She helps out those lazy so-and-sos the Maid and the Janitor, and has also been known to assist with entertainment duties when she's got no other work to do.

Alternative Bar Set

This is a set of three bars for HD and SV. They are part of a series of objects I am producing so I can make "themed" downtown and vacation lots, where staff and visitors (courtesy of a few "costume changing" doors) wear particular outfits. In this case, the bars are staffed by NPCs in formal clothing (bar 01 - the wood one); cowboy clothing (bar 02 - the translucent blue one) and swimsuits (bar 03 - the blue/yellow one). These bars do not replace the Maxis bars or the Maxis bar staff - they are in addition to them.

You can change the appearance of the bar staff simply by editing the .cmx files to point to different .skn files, and by replacing the bitmaps. As long as you don't change the names of the .cmx and .bmp files, everything should still work.

On Vacation lots, I found a good place to put the bar was near the tables where the Sims eat. It's quite funny to see one of them stumble downstairs in the morning, grab a quick breakfast, and then order something with a "bit of a kick" to wash it down... puts me in mind of one or two vaguely-remembered holidays in my youth ;-)

Alternative Front Desk

An alternative front desk for vacation lots, for when you want to give the check-in clerk a particular look of your choice. You can modify the appearance of the desk clerk simply by changing the .cmx files to point to a different .skn files, and by changing the bitmaps. This desk appears in addition to the Maxis ones; it doesn't replace them.

The desk is a "hacked" Maxis front desk, and the skins are renamed Maxis ones.

Alternative Rental Shack

Another in series of objects I am producing so I can make "themed" vacation lots, where the NPCs look the way I want. It does not replace the Maxis rental shack or Rental Shack Zack, but is in addition to them.

Rental Shack Shay wears a swimsuit, but you can change that by editing the .cmx files to point to different .skn files, and by replacing the bitmaps, if you want. As long as you don't change the names of the .cmx and .bmp files, it should still work.

Warning! Installation is a bit unusual. Don't put everything in the downloads folder, otherwise the object WILL CRASH THE GAME!! Really. Don't say I didn't warn you. Read the included readme file carefully.

Just a suggestion, but put a fishpond near the shack. She seems to quite enjoy feeding the fish.

The Non-Nude Prude

A replacement Old Prude for those of you who have items such as hot tubs or costume-changing doors on your downtown lots, and are disturbed by the sight of a skinny, bottle-tanned, donkey-rigged old lady wandering around the lot. The Non-Nude Prude will do nothing more shocking than strip off to a Victorian-style swimsuit.
