If like us you have been wondering where Will Young has been over the past few months, then here's your answer- diving through
pub windows!
It seems that while the new batch of PI upstarts prepare for their forthcoming auditions last years winner has been keeping
himself entertained by playing games of hide and seek.
Will was tucking into a lunch with a friend in West London when he suddenly got the urge to launch into a quick game with
our snapper. He might have had a mouthful of food but that didn't stop nifty Will jumping onto the table in an attempt to
slip inside the pub. Dont ask us what's wrong with using the door just a few feet away.!
But it does look like Will's going to have to be a bit faster on his feet if he wants to be crowned Hide and Seek Champion-
by the time our photographer had counted to 50 Will hadn't even got through the window!

WILL YOUNG shows a toned torso and real lung power during a charity run.
Will came a brilliant 22nd out of 5,200 runners on a six-mile charity run in Hyde Park, London, at the weekend.
An exhausted Will crossed the finishing line in an amazing 39 minutes to help raise thousands of pounds for the Help A London
Child charity.
Will is well know for his charitable acts — he released a Children In Need single Don’t Let Me Down last November.
Those big lungs of his sure do raise a lot of money for needy kids.

A soul voice that has enchanted both the public and the critics and an original personality climbed him up the charts world-wide.
Coming from the Idol TV show, the singer became an international music star.
This is Will Young, until a little while ago just the courageous boy winner of Pop Idol, the English format equivalent of
‘We will be famous’, in which aspiring singers confront themselves with the great songs of the past, the starting
point from
which he went to become an international music star.
I have to say, it was also his album debut that shook the TV Pop Idol image, From Now On.
The album benefited of some collaboration from one of the greats in pop melodies, Burt Bacharach, his touch is unmistakable
in the song ‘What’s in Goodbye’.
But the tour de force of Will stays with his individual ‘Light My Fire’, a debut of enormous success that sold more
than two
millions copies. (Italians believe LMF was his debut single!) And what’s better way to celebrate his happiness, how much
he
is appreciated, in the land in the golden top of the pops if not in a star manner, with a party by the pool along Andy Warhol,
one that in fact knew something about pop celebrity, wouldn’t he be certainly proud?
And it was one of his great teachers and one of his films, ‘Chow Manhattan’, that inspired the producer Baillie
Walsh, who
is a fanatic of black and white films, already known in the past for his intense work with THE Massive Attack, in production
of ‘Light My Fire’, the remake song of the Doors with whom Will Young planted a strong bases in his pop.
It is also the song that helped him win Pop Idol, in the version of the great Jose Feliciano. This cover is my absolute favourite,
he affirms with satisfaction. Will is twenty-three years, has a degree in Political Sciences, a dazzling smile, but above
all a soul voice that does certainly not leave anyone indifferent.
“I grew listening to soul music, I went crazy for the voice of Aretha Franklin and Stevie Wonder, I devoured literally
all
of the disks of Nina Simone, Frank Sinatra, but also those Sade, Tracy Chapman, Joan Armatrading and of the Beatles, an universal
point of reference to all the facets of the music”, confides the English singer; he certainly is a risk for Robbie William’s
pop podium. Moreover, he already collaborated with Guy Chambers. There is nothing to do with it, me and Robbie are friends,
there is neither rivalry or competition between us. We know and talk to each other, there is no need to elaborate on this
subject, he stated.
Soon after his chart success, Will Young surprised all in the United Kingdom by coming out as gay. I preferred to say it myself,
rather that to leave this advantage to the media, he says. What is to know about Young is all in his album ‘From Now
On’,
with the songs that speak of love, relationships, feelings that sometimes are difficult to fulfil and to maintain alive, like
in ‘Cruel to be kind’. “What I prefer most is the song that gives the title of the album, it speaks about the
moment in which
you grow up and suddenly stop to feel insecure and to mind what other think of you.”
Putting his diplomatic career aside forever, in his 20s, Will wishes to continue as a pop singer, but he wants also to carry
out to completion other projects like that of writing scripts for the cinema. One is already outlined and it talks about domestic
violence, he anticipates, but it will require a bit of time to finish it.
In the meanwhile, we leave Will to enjoy his deserved success with ‘From Now On’ in company of the friends he loves
to surround
himself with, and ideally I am going to be among them invited as a VIP by the pool of the video of ‘Light My Fire’.

My snapper caught a tanned Will on his morning jog sporting a pair of rather dazzling luminous yellow socks.

The Pop Idol was turned away from a posh restaurant with old university pals while on holiday in Morocco... because he was
too scruffy.
My spies tell me: “Will turned up for dinner at Le Pavilion — one of Marrakesh’s finest restaurants —
in ripped jeans. But
the doormen wouldn’t let him in because he was so underdressed.”
To Will’s credit, he DIDN'T utter those immortal words: “Do you know who I am?”
I’m pleased to say he’s far too cool for that and simply went somewhere else.

Capital FM Awards-Will wins BEST NEWCOMER!!!-ananova.com
Ms Dynamite has been named favourite female vocalist at the Capital FM Help A London Child Awards.
The singer has bagged a host of accolades over the past year, including two Brits, three Mobos and the prestigious Mercury
Music Prize.
Earlier this week she was named media personality of the year at the Race In The Media Awards.
She beat Sophie Ellis Bextor, Beverley Knight and Sarah Whatmore to the Capital FM gong.
Other winners included Coldplay, who were named favourite UK band, Blue, who won favourite UK group, and favourite male vocalist
Daniel Bedingfield.
Westlife were named favourite international group, WILL YOUNG was best newcomer and Atomic Kitten scooped favourite pop act.
Best single was Liberty X's Just A Little Bit, and Angels With Dirty Faces by Sugababes won the album chart award.
Pink was named best international solo artist and Nelly and Kelly's Dilemma was favourite international single.
The star-studded charity bash was held at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in west London.
Mick Hucknall was there to accept the outstanding contribution to music award for Simply Red.

'Have the balls to come out and you may be kissing the girls goodbye'.
Its not as if we've been starved of gay pop stars - yet for some reason when their sexuality is discovered it still sends
shock waves round the world.
Given nothing's camper than pop, its a curious scenario. Whether stars are straight or gay, all of them were born the same
way; in front of a mirror mouthing out of key vocals into a candy pink hairbrush.
WILL YOUNG'S Star is shining brighter - perhaps because he didn't wash his laundry in public. Impossible to avoid, he's beamed
down at us from TV screens and tabloids since Popstars discovered him. He's been no less ubiquitous for announcing he's gay.
Will's fan base includes everyone from grannies to garage mechanics, proving he's stolen the nation's hearts and not just
their pocket money.
OUT FASTER THAN A CANDLE IN THE WIND
Despite the best efforts of heterosexual Gareth Gates to steal them back, Will's held fast to Middle England's music buyers.
It seems he doesn't offend anyone, another golden rule in the new world of pop. Whereas George & Stephen broke hearts by singing
heterosexual hits before revealing they were gay, WILL was out faster than a candle in the wind.
One thing links all three - it's likely none of the stars wanted to reveal their sexuality. While George was caught with his
pants down, it seems likely that both WILL and Stephen outed themselves before the gutter press could get there first.
Ever hungry for column inches, at least one of the tabloids was very keen to tell the world exactly what WILL liked to do
with his. The thing about WILL is he doesn't seem to do anything with his willy. Instead he smiles his way through cover versions
before batting down questions about his love life with answers like 'I'm too busy to even think about it'.
WILL'S NO FLOP
Strangely enough, since coming out, WILL is the only one not to have suffered a flop in record sales. Whereas George hit back
at the headlines with a camp attack and Stephen left boy bands for a longterm boyfriend, WILL'S seeming chastity would put
a nun to shame.
So, in the sparkly world of pop 2003 we have an openly gay, number one star with an image less 'gay' than his straight chart
rivals.

Our boy is all over tv and radio in Italy and is doing some great promotion!He is also appearing in many Dutch Magazines as
well as his single,Light My Fire being played In Sardina. Don't forget that Will is appearing in ITALIAN VOGUE also which

Will Young to headline Exeter Festival-ANANOVA.COM
Will Young is set to perform a one-off gig at the Exeter festival to raise money for charity.
He is a patron for Postive Action South West, which aims to help people affected by HIV and create awareness.
The singer will perform with his acoustic band at the event at Killerton Parklands on July 18.
Will says he's looking forward to returning to Exeter to relive his "mad" University days.
He releases his live DVD on Monday, recorded at London's Wembley Arena - one of the dates on 2002's 20-night tour, which played
to over 250,000 fans.
Tickets for the Exeter Festival, priced £25, go on sale on May 13.

WILL YOUNG is set to turn down the chance of cracking the US after advisers told him: “Don’t mention you’re
gay.”
He has also been told to have his teeth straightened and whitened before he takes on America.
Will said: “I’ve been offered a major deal but I’m in a dilemma.
“They want me to keep quiet about my private life and, worse, they’ve told me to get my teeth straightened.
“I thought they were joking but that is the bottom line.”

POP IDOL WILL TACKLES DOMESTIC VIOLENCE CHARITY ROLE
Pop Idol Will Young has been made an ambassador for a domestic violence charity, it was announced today. The chart star will
work with Women's Aid to raise awareness of issues and get involved with fund-raising campaigns. Young, 24, wrote his university
dissertation on domestic abuse and is taking calls in a Radio 1 phone in to mark the BBC's Hitting Home season of programmes.
The charity co-ordinates and supports more than 250 local groups, providing 400 refuges, helplines, services and advice centres
for women and children. Young said today: "Domestic Violence is a subject that is extremely close to my heart - and Women's
Aid is a charity which I hold great respect for. "I wrote my dissertation on the topic so it means a great deal to me to be
in the position just a few years later, to be able to make a difference. "I am proud to put my name beside this cause and
hope that I may be able help more women and children affected by the terrors of domestic violence, as well as help to create
a wider awareness within our society," he added.
Director of Women's Aid Nicola Harwin said: "We are thrilled that Will Young is committed to being an ambassador for Women's
Aid and will help us to raise awareness for our work with women and children who experience domestic violence. "Will is a
very positive male role model and can help to influence and change attitudes to domestic violence among young people."
The BBC's Hitting Home initiative this week is designed to air the issues and break down the taboos of domestic violence.
Young is turning agony uncle for Radio 1's Sunday Surgery on Sunday (Feb 23) with Emma B and Dr Mark Hamilton for a domestic
violence phone-in. The Women's Aid 24-hour helpline (08457 023 468) took more than 60,000 calls last year. In excess of 40,000
women and children stayed in its refuges in England in 2002.

Will Young is turning agony uncle by giving advice on Radio 1.
He will lend an ear to callers later this month as a guest presenter for the station's Sunday Surgery advice show.
The singer will join regular hosts Emma B and Dr Mark Hamilton for the show on February 23.
The programme ties in with the BBC-wide Hitting Home season looking at issues surrounding domestic violence.
Young, who has taken the charts by storm in the past year with hits such as Evergreen and Light My Fire - did his university
thesis on domestic violence.

There is some tough competition in the best pop act category for this year's Brits, but hellomagazine.com readers have chosen
their favourite for the race – chart-topping vocalist Will Young.
The TV talent show winner racked up over half of the more than 22,000 votes counted, making him the crystal-clear answer to
the question we posed: "Who's your pick for best pop act at the Brits?".
Pop Idol followers also logged on in their thousands to support runner-up Gareth Gates. However, his strong showing –
39 per
cent – wasn't enough to defeat unstoppable Will, and the Anyone Of Us star once again finds himself with the silver.
But let's not forget there were other formidable players in our pre-Brits mini-poll. Boy band Blue's fans helped bring them
to a third place finish, with just under four per cent. Fourth-ranked Latin hunk Enrique Iglesias couldn't compete with his
fellow heart-throbs, while the lone lady in the competition, punk-pop princess Pink, barely showed on the radar.

Jay Kay wants to duet with Will Young!:The Mirror
THEY may not seem to have much in common but Jamiroquai's Jay Kay has revealed he is desperate to duet with Pop Idol Will
Young at the Brit Awards.
"I think Will is brilliant," Jay, 34, tells us: "His voice is exceptional and he's a funky guy. I'm hoping we can do something
but it may be a problem as I sang at the awards last year."
Don't worry about that, Jay - 3am has checked it out and you should be singing with the Pop Idol, 23, on February 20. "It
would be a real coup for us," revealed a Brits insider.

It has been a colossal year for Will, too.
He rocketed to fame after beating GARETH GATES on telly’s Pop Idol and Evergreen became the fastest-selling single by
a solo
artist, shifting more than a million copies in the first week.
His award ends ROBBIE WILLIAMS' two-year run of scooping the Best Male prize.
Will said: "I am astounded. I can't believe I've beaten Robbie Williams.
I was worried people would be sick of me by now. I couldn't be happier. Thanks for everyone's support."

Pop Idol Will Young got a shock after reporting seeing a house burglary.
Police officers spent longer begging him to sign autographs for them and their colleagues than jotting down details of the
crime.
Will 23 said "I couldn't believe it. I thought a burglary was more pressing than my autograph, but in the end I just laughed
and signed their notebooks."
"I have no idea if they ever caught the guy"
Will 23 who has scored hits with Evergreen, Light My Fire and Don't let me down was taking a taxi home from an awards bash
when he saw a man breaking into a west London house through a skylight.
An hour later two policemen visited the singer's home to take a statement.
But instead of rushing to jot down a description of the burglar, the star-struck officers pestered Pop Idol winner Will to
scribble autographs for everyone at their police station

WILL YOUNG will sing the theme song to the new 101 Dalmatians film.
He follows stars such as ELTON JOHN, CELINE DION and PHIL COLLINS in recording a Disney track.
The Pop Idol will sing jazz tune Try Again for the animated film 101 Dalmatians Part II: Patch’s London Adventure.
He said: “I love the big band sound and this track tested my vocals. It’s not the sort of thing I normally sing.”
The film is released on DVD and video on February 3.
Will has a way to go to beat rival GARETH GATES, whose cover of ELVIS PRESLEY’s Suspicious Minds for Lilo & Stitch is
Disney’s
current top-selling single.

Pop Idol's Will Young has topped his first year of fame by taking the title of Television Personality of the Year.
Will beat the likes of Ant and Dec, Graham Norton and Cat Deeley in a nationwide poll to find Britain's best-loved TV star.
The accolade was voted by readers of TV Choice, TV Quick, TV Times and What's On TV.
Viewers will see him receive the award on Saturday night during ITV1's Television of the Year Party.
More than 400 stars of the small screen attended the glittering bash at London's Royal Opera House.
Presented by Gabby Logan and Gaby Roslin, the show will relive the year's top TV moments, from reality TV to the world of
soaps.
Cameras will also mingle with the stars at the party so viewers can get all the gossip.
Young has had a remarkable year since winning Pop Idol in February.
His debut single, Evergreen/Anything Is Possible became the fastest selling single of all time, shifting over a million copies
in its first week.
His album, From Now On, also went straight in at number one.

Des Lynam, Will Young and Emma Bunton have all taken part in a special edition of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire.
The celebrity pairing edition of the show will be broadcast on ITV1 at Christmas.
Des Lynam teamed up with newsreader Mary Nightingale. Will Young and Emma Bunton were another pairing.
According to the Sunday Mirror, Des and Mary were the biggest winners on the show, although it hasn't been revealed how much
they won for charity.

Will was on tv before Pop Idol!and he still is!
Will is currently appearing in an advert for Sky Sports as a soccer fan. Will was paid just £100 to stand in the terraces
wearing a Blue Chelsea shirt,cheering for his team.The scene is shown on Sky Sports' Super Sunday live football programme.
The advert has been showing since August and no on even noticed,including me!
Someone on the sky sports team spotted him and realised it was Will!A spokesman said "It's incredible that no-one realised.
To be fair, it's a case of blink and you might miss him.It's an amazing coup for us to have him."
A spokeswoman for Will said "Will signed up with an acting agency while he was a student to make extra cash. He isn't a huge
football fan and found it quite funny that he was in a clip about soccer."

What a fantastic time I had in Reading!Apart from the rain and mud,it was worth waiting just to see Will!When he came out,the
crowd went wild.Will sung three songs,Evergreen,Ain't No Sunshine and Light My Fire-all fantastically of course!
I had a great time,took lots of pics(even though I was wedged in the middle of the crowd of thousands of peeps!)and enjoyed
other acts including Liberty X and Sugarbabes.It was definetly a day I won't forget!

Thousands of Will Young fans packed into Reading's Rivermead for a chance to get a glimpse of Will Young.
He was the final act of music event, Summer XS...
Will Young received a heroe's welcome when he came back to his home county to perform in front of thousands of fans in Reading
for the first time.
Over 15,000 fans waited all day to catch a glimpse of the Pop Idol winner, who came on stage at about 6pm.
He came to the edge of the stage to see the Sugar Babes perform, and as the crowd got a glimpse of him, a huge roar came up,
so he had to dive back behind the stage.
Rumour has it, he apologised to the Sugar Babes afterwards, and said he just wanted to see them perform and didn't think he'd
get such a reaction.
It was the first time Will has performed in front of his home crowd, and he said it was really special to be there.
And to top it off, as if by magic, the rain stopped and the sun shone as soon as Will stood on stage.

There has been a lot of rumours about when Will's album is going to be released.First it was November and then Septmeber 30th(the
same day as an Elvis album) and now it is said to be released on 7th October with many new tracks that Will has co-written,including
one called "Sympathy". Also to be released is a duet with Gareth Gates,Long and Winding Road,said to be released on 16th September-whether
it is a charity single for Sport Relief or not is still not known. BMG have said Will will release a single to promote his
album after the duet,and the date is unknown as yet.

WILL IN PLANE DRAMA!(from Sunday Mirror-21/7/02

Pop Idol Wil Young last night told of his terror when a plane had to make an emergency landing in a fire scare. Will 23 was
on an Aer Lingus flight from Dublin to London on Friday when smoke alarms went off and it was diverted to Manchester. He said
"The plane started going down nose-first. It felt like the pilot was struggling to keep it level. At Manchester there were
firemen and engines everywhere it was pretty frighteneing" Will and the friend he was travelling with hired a car from Manchester
to London as he had to be in the recording studio yesterday.Nicky Byrne from Westlife was also on the plane with his girlfriend.

Well,more rumours about Will are appearing again.Firstly,the fact that there may be a Will doll coming out(unfortunatly not
life size)but nothing has been confirmed yet.
Secondly,The Daily Star claims Will has been offered a part in a new remake of Caberet but as I said, it is the Daily Star

Life is a Cabaret for Will...
chart topper Will Young is being lined up to star alongside Nicole Kidman in a Hollywood remake of the classic movie Cabaret.
The Light My Fire star has been invited by a major Tinseltown studio to discuss launching an acting career. Will, 23, will
meet them when he flies to Los Angeles next week to make a special guest appearance in the final show of the US version of
Pop Idol.
Hollywood producers are already working on revamping the film, which was made 30 years ago and starred oscar winner Liza Minelli.They
have been in talks with screen queen Nicole to take the starring role of sexy German club singer Sally Bowles. In the original
Cabaret, Liza played raunchy Sally star of Berlin's Kit Kat Club, who yearns to become a movie star and will do anything to
fullfill her dream.
She falls for a posh Enlish professor, a role being lined up in the new film for Will. Nicole, 35, has already impressed the
critics with her singing talents after starring in the blockbuster flick Moulin Rouge last year. A movie insider said: "Will
is talented" - Pop Idol proved that and that's why Hollywood came calling. "This could be his biggest break yet". Nicole,
ex-wife of Tom Cruise, told a friend, "I watched tapes of Will's performance on Pop Idol and he won me over. He would be a
perfect co-star. I just hope I can keep up with his voice"
