After the coming of the Keits and Cyndigs to the Inner Sea, the Kallazin people were driven back to what is now the Great River Nation. Though most eventually became settled in the area, the Gentari took themselves apart from the rest of their people and instead went into the midst of their enemy offering trade.
The Gentari are still a travelling people who wander from town to town in brightly painted horse-drawn wagons, in groups of up to thirty, who are often an extended family. They believe they are very close to nature, and their priests, called mendicants, seem almost a part of it. They dress in colourful, flamboyant clothes and wear lots of jewellery, but many folk distrust them as they have a reputation for stealing and worse.
They have some ancient traditions and at certain times of the year assemble at special sites fo their religious festivals. These are very private and at these times they can become very violent towards unwanted on-lookers.
