The Keit-Cyndig Pantheon

[Qaan] Qaan

Qaan is the first offspring of the new gods, and a bonny child she was too. She is a vibrant and energetic goddess, overflowing with health and vigour. Such was her joy at her own birth that she burst spontaneously into song. Her beauty is such that it is said to have inspired the first painting, and to this day, artists will make her an offering in the hope of creating a masterpiece.

Qaan is goddess of the night, and at midnight she is at her zenith. Her hair and skin are the black of the night sky, while her eyes shine like the stars. Her prime temple is at Vyldatal in Fenzip, where many healers and physicians train.

[Hara Tun] Hara Tun

Taranus and Yaq's second born, Hara Tun was no less a blessing to the world than his sister, Qaan. He is the strongest of all the gods, and his impressive physique was said to have inspired the first sculptor.

As well as his great strength, many legends speak of Hara Tun's great luck, and he is especially popular with down-on-their-luck gamblers. He is popular with story tellers too with many epic sagas devoted to his great feats of strength and endurance.

Hara-Tun is god of harvests, particularly worshipped in the lands around the north shore of the inner sea. In  these rural communities he is worshipped alongside Ulail and Tjanri in combined temples called Triestilia.

Ulail

The second son of Taranus and twin brother of Tjanri, Ulail is a popular god across the lands. Numerous legends relate the adventures he shared with his sister Tjanri, the Ice Twins as they are known. The most famous story is how they rescued the moon from Lagant, who had selfishly kept it all to himself. Both of the twins are associated with the will to do the seemingly impossible, and an offering to the pair is common before a risky venture.

[Ulail and Tjanri]Ulail is also associated with knowledge and justice like his father. The Ulailon, the great temple of Ulail, is situated some 15 leagues west of Rimcet in Vabball.

Tjanri

The twin sister of Ulail, Tjanri is no less popular than her brother. She is a warrior-goddess, the protectress of the moon, and patroness of farmers, responsible for bringing fertility to their fields. A virgin goddess and huntress, she presides over nature and over the initiation rituals of young girls. Her great temple, the Tjanrion, is just east of Bellquad in Fenall.

Rem

As the last of the offspring of Taranus and Yaq, Rem is often considered something of a child, though of course he is aeons old. He is especially sympathetic towards the young. Rem rules the afterlife with his mother, taking a special interest in those that die in childhood. Men who still live with their mothers often make offerings to him, that they might live in tolerance.
