Schatan

Language: Schatanan (a Keit derived language).

Cities: Lielcych, Scheim, Beicnycam, Buffibwi.

The Schatanan appeared - apparently from nowhere - at about the time of The Great Flood, settling around the mouth of the Great River. Their major town, Leilcych, is on an island in the delta there, and controls all trade up the river - much to the annoyance of the Great River Nation. The other cities are all very small and insignificant.

Although they believe in a creator, the Schatanan seem to have no apparent religion - no temples, priests or ceremonies, at least not that any outsiderer is aware of. They are ruled by a High Lord, a hereditary position, though disputes as to the line of descent are common. Each lesser city is ruled by a lord selected by the High Lord from his immediate family (these are invariably male).
