There is a flood, a real dangerous noas ark kind of flood coming our way we saw it start we let the water through and bit by bit we are starting to drown. I'll be called xenophobic. I don't care. NO MORE U.S BANDS WE NEVER HEARD OF HEADLINING OUR LOCAL SHOWS! u.s bands cost to much for our poor promoters good example who saw mad caddies / Lightyear. 'ever feel like you've been cheated' Lightyear so good so fun , mad caddies so dull so GODAMMED STUPID so arogent so FUCKING ugh!! so please NO MORE! put on one of the 10000 UK bands that really rock Fig 4.0 - capdown - wizzwood - and many many more! just do it and do it now! support your local scene!

The industry has officially brought punk, you have your 7" of Black Flag TV party - your spanking old Dead Kennedy's patch wallet chain and a t-shirt with a band no one has heard of. basically you are punk.  

         So now we are all on the band wagon you can say who is punk who isn't what is punk what isn't.

Punk is dead, long live punk everything is in the box, everything has a neat tidy label. so where do we go from here. if punk is about individualism how come every song since 1980 has had exactly the same drumbeat? the same harmonics. you know a cali band within 10 seconds of the first song but you wont know which band it is until you look at your oh so fashionable Fat wreck sampler.

Is it is my job to keep punk rock elite?

Is punk rock an elitist music form, or  a fashion statement? a rebellion? against what? we have no great war! there is no middle class! where is your poverty? every house has a TV what are you rebelling against? Elitism is Fascism (that's not true but you guess what im saying)

D.I.Y?

Yeah do it yourself- where I live there was no scene so we played music organised shows and just rocked out, it beat the boredom. bring a beer lets party! then when we brought our music on CDs to Brighton (CDs we recorded at school on a 4 track) people at venues laughed "That's not cool that's Emo, Hardcore is in now!" 

Now Ska is "now"  I have to laugh at these "punk" promoters. here I have to plug Buz the man that for no profit seems to run just about every show I have ever seen in Brighton and even give my band a chance to play (alright he calls me nu-metal kid and takes the piss out of me 24/7- but he's ok)

               Support your scene !

You are not as pretty and individual as a snowflake you are ugly you came from the same cloning plant as everyone else. like music any music tagged or not where what you like not to be cool! where what makes you feel good. help your friends. Then you are punk, I guess or maybe not. you'll figure it all out.

Atheist

I am an atheist. So according to Christianity, that means that I am going to hell while all the Christians get to go to heaven. Now, call me stupid, but I would’ve thought that if God was as knowledgeable and forgiving as we are led to believe, He would not sentence someone to eternal torment just for not irrationally believing that He existed. If you are a good, kind person but you don’t think there is a God, does that really qualify you for hell? What about extremist Christians in the southern USA, for instance, who are, and I know this is a sweeping generalisation, racist, homophobic, fanatical inbreds. They may believe in God but they can still be viciously prejudiced against people who aren’t heterosexual, Caucasian Christians. I would have thought, being the idiot that I am, that this type of behavior and belief is in direct contradiction to Jesus’ preachings of love and acceptance. So why shouldn’t this type of Christian go to hell instead of the atheists among us who are genuinely nice people. If God is all He’s cracked up to be, I think he will be able to tell what you are really like. He will send the good people to heaven whether they are religious or not.

Why is it that whenever I go to see a band where there are a lot of ‘new school’ pop punk kids, that all the girls who are slightly on the big side seem to wear small tight tops which reveal their flab? Do they not realise that nobody particularly wants to see their midriff exposed? Can they not understand that tight tops should be left for girls with slim figures? Not only this, but to accompany the top that is too small, they wear their trousers so low slung that you can see their thong straps. They may think this is sexy, but I doubt am alone in thinking that there is nothing sexy about the image of a plump girl in a thong. It’s as inconsiderate as fat, middle aged women in Lycra. So stop it. Please.

Should punk be cool?

I think that punk music is powerful. The first time I ever heard a punk record, I felt it too. It is something that I hadn’t felt before then. I think that it is music for losers. The popular kids already have power over the rest of us, the losers have punk. You will probably think I’m elitist for saying this but I think punk is made by, and for, losers. That’s why punk becoming more mainstream annoys me so much. Now the cool kids like punk too, but I don’t think they understand it. Sure they like the tunes, they understand what good music sounds like, but not what it feels like.
