Welcome to The Crazy Write Winger. This site is an outgrowth of my Crazy Write Winger Blog, which can still be accessed from the menu at left.

This site best viewed with Internet Explorer 4 or higher, with a minimum 800 x 600 screen resolution. There is also a text-only version of this site, for people using older browsers, or for people with disabilities who may use screen readers.

What's in a Name?

As can be surmised from the title, I am a political conservative and I love to write. Consider this my personal little cyber-soapbox. If you like what you see, tell all your friends. If you don't, keep your blessed mouth shut.

That last sentence was called sarcasm. There's a lot of it running around here. As my Dictionary of Liberalism shows, sarcasm by a conservative is "Mean-Spirited" to a liberal. The First Amendment guarantees my right to speak. It does not guarantee me an audience. If you don't like what you are reading, you have the perfect right to read anything else on the Web your little heart desires. In fact, there's a link on every page, "Help!! I'm a liberal and I just can't take it anymore!!," that will take you straight home to the DNC. Just spare me the e-mails and comments about "hate speech" and so forth.

All views expressed on this site are my own unless otherwise noted. All links are accurate to the best of my knowledge. Should you spot a broken or incorrect link, please e-mail me and I will correct and/or delete it.

Why This Website

Well, first of all, because I wanted to.

The main raison d'etre for the website is to expand upon a few ideas from the Blog that don't fit too well in that context and to provide a set of resources for conservative thinkers and writers to use in debates against the Left. There's a lot out there if you know where to look, but many people don't have the time it takes to track down information. Hopefully I'll take some of the drudge work out of the process. I won't do everything for you. You're still going to have to click some links and read. I'm just giving you a leg up.

What's Here?

The Blog will take you to The Crazy Write Winger Blog, for the moment still hosted on Blogspot.

The Link Barn will take you to the main link page, with a number of categorized and (as time permits) annotated links to various resources on the Web.

There are also various opinion pieces in the Reading Room section. Most of these are research I've done in on-line debates throughout the years which may prove helpful. You will also find a list of books that I've read.
