Benjhinio
joined the club in 2003 on a free transfer from his local cricket team.
After starting off at right back, Ben's crunching tackles and powerful
heading ability earnt him a place at the heart of the Wheatsheaf
defence, where he formed a formidable partnership with Damien Askey.
Being such a gifted player, he can play almost anywhere and has deputised as an emergency goalkeeper
on several occasions.
Ben's
strong form and fitness in the 2004/2005 season earnt him the Clubman
of the Year trophy for playing in every match. Unfortunately after a
life-threatening accident on his Harley Davidson, he has missed a large
part of this season. However despite now having more metal inside his
body than the terminator, Benjhinio has fought back to fitness and
regained his place in the side. His courage this season earned him his
second Clubman of The Year award.
