Scott
was signed from Ansell's league side Mill Hill Tavern in the summer of
1991 and enjoyed immediate success in a championship winning side. Scott
made his mark as a dominant defender whose performance never dropped below
"superb" and with fellow defender Mark Harvey he formed a
formidable barrier at the heart of the Wheatsheaf defence. He was
appointed as captain in 2001 and skippered the club to promotion to the
Premier League and a League Cup semi-final
Scott
retired in 2003 to begin his climb up the managerial ladder in
lads-and-dads.
