As you can see, this isn't a great photo but it does illustrate typical village street lighting in the area. This photo was taken at the northern end of Llanwrda on the A482. In the foreground is a Phosware 55W SOX lantern and in the background is a Philips MI series replacement.

This photo shows a very rusty column with CU Phosco 55W P226 SOX lantern attached. Judging by the age of the surrounding buildings, I would say this dates from the late 1960's - 1970's.

These lanterns are still being made by CU Phosco!
